I was brought in to House & Home in 2008 to spearhead the initial full site redesign and development.
Many months of research and working with in-house and external designers, as well as revisions and approvals from multiple stakeholders went into the initial design and the subsequent homepage revisions. In additions to building the department structure, I evaluated and hired appropriate designers and developers. Every aspect was freshly examined, including a new IA, content rollout and strategy, and a move to the Drupal CMS.

With over 40K pages of content, we required multiple points of entry, but a clean, uncluttered design to reinforce brand perception.

The new House & Home website design was featured prominently in Apple Stores, and as an example site on Apple.ca to showcase their Safari browser. I maintained this relationship with Apple, and they requested assets for use on their French sites as well.

In 2009, we launched an online TV site, designed as a discrete addition to the main website to present three new videos each week. The system now houses upwards of 1,000 beautifully shot and edited video segments.

Over the years, there were subsequent updates to the homepage to match the evolving needs of editor- and advertiser-driven content.
